Salon announces subscription rates will be going up to support independent reporting and the intelligent commentary we all love . . . and then hires Camille Paglia again. Couldn't you have just set the money on fire? You'd have at least gotten an interesting Video Dog entry out of it.
So granted, I've been mooching off your Salon for forever now, but I have to say that if I were paying for it myself, I'd be tempted to flounce off and cancel my subscription. It's become such a wankfest. Also, I hate Debra Dickerson. And all of the letter wars about the Obama articles that make me froth with rage.

And yeah, much as I like King Kaufman's sports column, and as pleased as I am at their adding Glenn Greenwald to their roster, this and the dithery condescension of the TV column make me want to withhold my funds come next re-up.
